Teak, meaning?
Teak is a tropical hardwood tree. It occurs naturally only in Asia – in the south and east, mainly India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Sri Lanka. It is worth adding that teak wood, and more precisely its extracts and dust, have antifungal and antibacterial properties. Products made of teak wood are extremely durable – the wood contains oils as well as silicic acid. Teak wood neither shrinks nor swells – the risk of cracking is also relatively low. Therefore, when inviting teak wood products to the interior, you don’t have to worry that they won’t be durable.
Decorations inspired by nature
At Koss Home, we are inspired by nature. By choosing our products you bring nature into your home. Decorations made of teak and coconut can be arranged in the way you want – they fit into any interior! Our personal favorite is a coconut shell lantern. It can be used as a lampshade for a small lamp. You can also put a led tealight inside for a cozy evening. So far, available in two patterns and two shades – ecru and naturally dark. More to come!
Another remarkable item is a teak vase, available in two sizes. It is special for its unique asymmetry and colors – all chosen by mother nature. Each vase is a piece of art. It is simple in form, yet extremely impressive. Perfect to put in minimalist, bright interior, spacious living room, bedroom or SPA.
